EnPro Industries Acquires Compressor Services Companies

Charlotte, N.C., Aug. 10, 2006 -- EnPro Industries, Inc. (NYSE: NPO), a leading manufacturer of engineered industrial products, today announced it has acquired Southwest Compressor Services and H.A.R. Compressor Products. The transactions were completed for cash; terms were not disclosed.

Southwest, located in Conroe, Texas, manufactures and reconditions critical components for reciprocating compressors used in the oil, petrochemical and natural gas markets. H.A.R., located in Golden, Colo., is an injection molding company that manufactures molded compressor valve components. Both were privately held companies.

“These small, strategic acquisitions, combined with our recent acquisition of Allwest Compressor Services, strengthen the competitive position of our France Compressor Products company,” said Ernie Schaub, president and chief executive officer. “They will allow France Compressor to accelerate product development and its ability to serve the natural gas market.”

Southwest and H.A.R. will be managed as part of France Compressor Products, which is headquartered in Stafford, Texas. Both companies will continue to operate out of their current manufacturing facilities.

H.A.R Compressor Products will continue to locate the center of manufacturing for engineered thermoplastics at the existing facility where it has grown & developed in Golden, Colorado . The H A Robertson name & heritage in the market has been synonymous with the development & use of engineered thermoplastics for use in compressor valves, piston rings & packing rings for over 20 years. During the companies history it had previously been acquired & in 2002 reformed to commence the supply of both material valve blanks & finished valve plates & rings in PEEK, Nylon & Mid Temperature Material.
